Story:
After being left in charge of the Crimson City gym, thanks to your father, you soon encounter the well-known Prof. Oak. After battling your Flareon against his Ivasuar, it becomes clear that you will become a promising trainer. Oak takes you back to his lab, where you choose a starting Pokemon. You journey as a trainer then unfolds...
After delivering Oak's Parcel in true Pokemon Style, you embark west of Crimson City to Diamond Town, the home of normal Pokemon. This is where the entrance to the famous Hobble Pass is, however it is too dark to enter. After gaining permission to use Flash, you discover that all is not well in the Pass. A raid by Team Amethyst has taken place.
Following your defeat of Amy, the leader of team Amethyst, you realise that you have more on your plate than just becoming a Pokemon Master. You must keep an eye on this band of vagabonds and discover what they are up to...
Summary:
This game has a lot of bugs.
If you engage in battle with a trainer, you are able to run away and avoid battle, making you the winner. When you clear the cave of the Team Amethyst members, you will still engage in battle upon stepping on the tiles that trigger the trainers. The battle system is still far from complete (the attacks have no type advantage) and the trainer battles were very glitched.
The maps (mainly the interior ones) could use a lot of work, as they were way too big and could benefit from being smaller.
Several events didn't trigger automatically like they should (you had to manually trigger the rest of the Oak event after picking a Pokemon) You were unable to jump from ledges. When triggering a warp, it did transition to the next map, which made it look weird when you entered a new area. A lot of the maps were really laggy.
There seemed to be pretty good grammar (which is about the only positive thing so far)
In conclusion, the game has a long way to go, and the bugs definitely need to be sorted out as they ruin possible enjoyment of the game.

Pokemon Crystal's Reflection interview
Platform: RPG Maker 2003
My Rating: N/A
Thread Rating: 5/5
Information:
It's a cold, rainy day when Max the main hero is hoping to recieve his first pokemon. He is really excited about this. When he recieves his pokemon it is his job to choose to become a breeder, reasearcher or trainer. He could become anything he wants if he becomes a breeder he would have to attend breeding competion, a reasearcher would need you to go around the reigon taking pictures of pokemon- Like pokemon snap and if you choose to become a trainer it would mean that you would need to battle in gyms.

Avatar: So what got you into game development?
Darkgoten: Well I loved playing games. My favorite type of game has always been rpg. Then I went onto a forum called dbgtn.com Where I got into speaking to people through the internet. I was only 8 when I started game making. I then started reading on the fourm about rpg maker 95 and that you could make your own game using it. I thought that this was awesome and I downloaded it. At first I had no idea but
Darkgoten: slowly I came to understand it and thereafter I downloaded rm2k3 and I started making games
Darkgoten: Then I went onto a forum made by picceta and I learnt so much from coding to spriting from their.
Avatar: What kind of projects did you work on prior to Crystal's Reflection?
Darkgoten: Okay well basicly I made several projects before, Firstly was my first ever game, The legacy of Goku Jr. This game was inspired by the movie Dbgt Goku Jrs adventure. There after I made a team called SSJX Productions. This team produced Dragonballz The unkown rival. This game was based on a fan fiction storyline and was about a legendary sayian coming back to tack revenge. Then came my first ever
Darkgoten: pokemon game pokemon lightening yellow this game was based on the classic pokemon yellow and was just recreated on rm2k3. This game was not a major hit. Then came Pokemon expedition where I let my imaginination go wild. This game was totally fan fiction and the pokemon where newly designed. This game gathered allot of interest in games. Thereafter I made my Legendary Dragonballz fan fictional Xmas
Darkgoten: game that gathered allot of sucess.
Darkgoten: These all inspired me to make pokemon crystal's reflection
Avatar: Any particular reason why you decided to make a Pokémon game based on G/S/C?
Darkgoten: Well I have always loved pokemon games. But the one I think was the best was Pokemon Gold silver and Crystal. I always wondered how it would look like recreated to each detail and this gave me the inspiration to recreate the setting of Johto but then again my imagination told me not to base it exactly on Pokemon Crystal. Thats why I called it crystal's Reflection because a reflection is not
Darkgoten: totally perfect. I loved the way the tite had a storyline and plus the essence of Johto is wonderful I belive. The storyline each day gave me inspiration and I belive that It was a brilliant choice to make a game that inspires myself.
Avatar: With all the new features you've planned for the game, of which do you think is the most unique?
Darkgoten: Well I believe that every feature is unique in their own way. I love my voice interactive pokedex , but I believe that my main feature has to be my battle system. My battle system has a voice activated feature. That means that if you have a microphone you can say the attack you want to use in it and the pokemon would obey and do the move. Then again remember If you have a Meganium and you are
Darkgoten: just a rookie it will not obey you. Every feature in my game has been made with every ounce of attention. This feature indeed was the hardest. I believe that it could be completted but if not I can always add other features to spruce it up. I also have a pokemon mood system where when u click on the pokemon ( after allowed out of their pokeballs) it has a happiness Hunger and sleep meter
Darkgoten: I believe that each feature is unquie in each way but I belive that the battle system is the best
Avatar: Besides the Pokedex and the Battle System, do you plan to implement voice interaction in other parts of the game?
Darkgoten: Yes I am planning, To have a talk system with the pokemon and you like you can play catch, Tell it jokes ect. I want this game to interact with pokemon more than the television show itself. I will also try to make it so if you say for example ( bike) and if you own one you can ride it.
Avatar: When do you expect to be able to release the game?
Darkgoten: Well I HOPE to get a demo done by the 24th of April and I want the game to be completted on April 1st 2007. I know its far away but I plan to keep updates and plus make the game perfect for each person.
Avatar: Of your own experience, do you have any advice you'd like to give to new game developers?
Darkgoten: Well Firstly I would would say from recent experiences if you are using someone elses characterset research into them before use. Plus always listen to everyones suggestions because kind of like give the people what they want because at the end of the day they are the judges. Always try to be originative dont copy gba games take some bits like ideas but dont totally copy. i also beleive that you
Darkgoten: should research into the anime for example pokemon and note down every ounce of description their is.
Darkgoten: Then always sketch before you do in this way you will know where you are going and always spell check +grammer check what you text says.
Darkgoten: Another thing is try to add light effects and always think that you need to make it realistic.
Darkgoten: Plus Construct a team, with a few of trusted and loyal companians who will help you anytime anywhere.
Avatar: Any final words?
Darkgoten: Nope just looking forward to the game dev weekly
