Background Info
Pokemon Dawn is an RPG Maker 2003 game created by Rubyrulez. It was originally started in 2003, but has re-emerged under the guise Pokemon Dawn: Revamped, on The Pokecommunity.
Story
3 years after the occurances of Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, a new gang rose up from the ashes of the old. They called themselves Team Evil, and were led by the mysterious Jackson. Jackson started Team Evil operations in the far off region of Lento, and while breaking ground for a new HQ, discovered a stone tablet revealing secrets on how to obtain a rare, legendary Pokemon. Jackson will stop at nothing to capture this Pokemon and rule the world...
Meanwhile, in another part of the globe, another familiar rival rose from the ashes of defeat as well. With a new lease on life, however, he decides to rid the world of evil, especially Team Evil...

Walkthrough
Game Start
At the title screen, after selecting New Game, you will be allowed to set the time, as well as the date. Keep in mind, the clock is a 24 Hour clock and each month has 30 days in it. After setting Time and Date, Prof. Palm (Lento's Prof.) will introduce you to the world of Pokemon. You will then get to select your gender, and choose your name. After that, you are sent to your room.
Everwind Town to Redwood Town
You start the game in your room. Go downstairs, and your mother will tell you to watch the television. There is an advertisement for Prof. Palm's Pokemon classes. After the ad is over, your mom will encourage you to head north to Redwood Town. Head outside and start heading north. After you reach the bridge that crosses the lake, a cutscene will start.
A trainer had defeated the Everwind Gym Leader, Perry, in battle and won his 8th badge. Once Perry goes back inside, the trainer will approach you and clue you in on a little secret. There was only one graduate in Prof. Palm's classes, and she has some spare Pokemon to give away. With that, the trainer leaves.
Head north to Route A1. You will see patches of grass, but they are unaccessable because they are across tiny lakes. Continue heading north and you will reach Redwood Town, but don't forget to obtain the potion from the Everwind Mart employee.
Redwood Town
After clearing Route A1, you will be in Redwood Town. Prof. Palm's lab is at the very top of Redwood Town. Enter the lab, and talk to Prof. Palm. She will allow you to choose a Pokemon. You can choose from any of these 3 Pokemon.
- Seedy (Grass)
- Burnbal (Fire)
- Eelin (Water)
After selecting your Pokemon, your rival (who is always the opposite gender of you), will walk up to Prof. Palm to obtain his/her Pokemon. Your rival will select the Pokemon that your's is weak against, and will then leave. You may then leave as well.
NOTE: In the demo versions, no matter who you or your rival chooses, you will have Bulbasaur/Charmander, and your rivl starts with Burnbal. This will change for the full version.
Redwood Town to Trinple Town
After receiving your first Pokemon, it's time to hit the road and start your journey. Head back to Everwind Town. You will notice that the Pokemon Center and Pokemon Mart are no longer blocked.
- Pokemon Center: Use the Pokemon Center to heal injured Pokemon, and to use the PC.
- Pokemon Mart: You can buy items here.
Next, take the left road (right road leads to the ocean) and you'll be on Route A2. There are Wild Pokemon as well as Pokemon trainers here, but they shouldn't be any problem at all. After clearing Route A2, you'll be in Trinple Town.

Trinple Town
Once you're in Trinple Town, you can talk to the guide (the old guy near you) and he'll show off the Pokemon Center and Pokemon Mart. After the tour, he will give you a Pokeball. Once you attempt heading toward Route A4, a scientist rushes up to you. He informs you that Prof. Palm has a package waiting for her at the Trinple Pokemon Mart, and he asks you to pick it up for her. After that, he rushes off. Head to the Pokemon Mart and talk to the shopkeep. He will give you the package. Now it is time to head back to Redwood Town.
Delivering Palm's Package
After arriving back in Redwood Town, return to Prof. Palm's lab and hand her the package. She will thank you, and then your rival and his/her newly caught Gastly will appear. Prof. Palm woll then give both of you Pokedexes, and inform you of the Lento Gym Challenge. The first gym is located in Smallplant City, just NorthEast of Trinple Town. Afterwards, your Rival leaves, and Prof. Palm encourages you to go for it as well.
NOTE: The Pokedexes are not useable in the demo.
Trinple Town to Smallplant City
Now that you've delivered the package to Prof. Palm, head back to Trinple Town. Route A4 will now be accessable to you. Route A4 is a huge route, with several bodies of water. You won't be able to cross, however, until you have Surf.
